There were a number of group oriented e-commerce sites during the 1.0 wave, wondering why anyone thought throwing a few social networking tools on top of the idea would make any real difference. It had the classic founder pedigree and recognized partnerships, but alas, there was no clear business model and thus, no clear reason to stay in business.
